Depends on which one you ask Archer or Reyes
its a coin toss but we got them out numbered

Currently it's no contest.
Filipinos by a large margin. Just look at the major tournaments over the last year or two, and you will see the Filipinos in the top 5 or so consistently outnumber the Americans or any other county for that matter.

Depends on the person. The race of a person has nothing to do with ability. Anyways, "Americans" includes a lot of people, including Filipino Americans and African Americans.
So, Americans, because there are so much more Americans than Filipinos.

In terms of raw talent, Filipinos are better. They are more innovative and imaginative. They aren't afraid to experiment with unconventional shots even in big games; hence, they excel in the safety and kicking departments. Since most Filipino players, including the great Efren Reyes, are hustlers or money players, they are known to take risks, resorting to impossible and unthinkable shots, in order to win. Whereas, American players play with precision and are good at pocketing, but they're less talented when it comes to safety and kick shots.

As the term goes...."on any given Sunday"......it is really a "coin toss".....these players are so damn good that it is unreal how easy they make this "hard" game look......just one out of line.....one bad or lucky roll....or just a bad break....or even a miscue might be the thing that decides the match......Americans....Filipinos...Germans....Martians...these pros can play and it I think it often comes down to a lucky break of some kind......what I would give to play half as good as they do........I vote for the last one at the table!!!.....still from America.......so GO YANKEES!....OOPS!.....I meant go YANKS!! (STINKING RED SOX!!)

i think, currently filipinos are sligthly better in playing pool than the rest of the world. part of the reason is the culture. filipinos has the tendancy to bend rules and look for easier way. this help them in playing pool. hoy pinoy ako
