earth quake. Seems coral reef has risen above the water level and fish etc are dying that lived there. Did all the greenhouse gases from the islands inhabitants start this?

No. The rise was caused by a shift in the tectonic plates that pushed the island up to a higher elevation. Global warming had nothing to do with it.

My same thoughts, exactly.

When I read the Yahoo news about this, I was waiting for how it ties in with global warming and the coming disasters.

Now, on a positive note, if we melt enough landlocked arctic ice, the ocean level will raise just enough to put this now sun bleached coral reef, back underwater. Then the islanders will not have to go so far to fish and gather the foods they normally eat.
