This is a difficult if not impossible question to answer without a proper work up by a medical professional. Dependent on your medical conditions it could be anything from contact dermatitis, insect bites, charcot foot, or gout. If the problem doesnt resolve itself in a couple of days please visit your doctor for a proper assessment.

Probably a spider bite. The exact same thing happened to my mom. She saw a few doctors and no one could tell her what it was, but doctors eventually concluded it was a spider bite. It eventually returned to normal. See a Dr just to be sure that it isn't some kind of poisonous spider bite. I've heard that some spider bites can cause some very nasty problems if left untreated.

With one big red spot, it sounds like it could possibly be a spider bite. If I were you, I would have it looked at. Do you have one of those "doc-in-a-box" places near you? Prima Care or Care Now? If not, I would be heading to the nearest hospital's Emergency Room.

Been outside barefoot? You also might have trod upon a bee or wasp.....but the spider bite is the most probable cause. Take an antihistamine, they are sold for allergy relief but will help you feel better.

Sounds like a spider bite. Got any Benadryl?
Keep an eye on it, perhaps consult your Dr.
You could be having an allergic reaction.

Or maybe an erysipelas ( an infection with a Streptoccocus). You should really see a doctor.
Good luck
