Primary weakness of the post war settlement was placing a financial burden on Germany that would virtually ensure would never be paid off. That led to the environment being ripe for parties like the Nazis to be started, fermenting future instability and endangering the world again.

uhmm ya you really dont know; they charged the Germans so much in reparations it destroyed their economy and set the stage for Hitlers rise to power. You only have the French to thank for WW2!!! Surrender in a Caboose!! When we had the Japanese surrender they did it on a fine warship and look at how good relations are with them now!! We respected their coustoms we didnt wack Hirohito, thats how you end a war and set the stage for peace. Thats half of why Iraq is such a mess we went in wrecked their country and **** on their ideals.
