You can't download it for free. Microsoft owns it, and they charge for it. So if you get it free, then you should have asked, "Where can I steal Windows Vista?" Just grab one from a computer store and run out the door really fast. It is the same thing.

Firstly you might be or might not able to download vista for free from any site, secondly it is 15 GB (approx) software,
and thirdly, if you find the site to download it might take long hours.
But dont be discouraged, if you cannot download vista but can imitate vista on wn xp pro,
Just download Vista transformation pack 6 from following site
www.windowsxlive.net
and install it under safe mode, and your computer is no more win xp but win Vista.
It includes everything that vista has .

Look in torrentspy.net, they might just be able to give you the ultimate edition. And don't be discouraged by those "stealing, illigal" thingie -- microsoft should open their eyes about what is available for free, and compared to that how much they're asking for. Piracy is the best prize for those commercial-software makers who cost an arm and a leg for nearly what quality may be found free.
Try any p2p network, with bittorrent, limewire, whatever. they're slow, but hell they are good sources!
