Despite popular belief, Satanists do not worship Satan, they are people who put themselves first. If you research satanism you will realize that most people would fall into that category. Even christians, because you will be jugded on your actions, not your words.

If by satanist you mean someone who worships satan there are none and there probably never were any (serious) satanists. This has been one of the longest-lived tale of BS. It's just a Christian version of the Boogeyman. Create an outside threat and you keep the flock (and their pocketbooks) returning to the comforting, secure arms of the church. Not much more to it.

You've gotta be more specific! Haha, I don't fit into any category of any Satanism, but there is one that actually has nothing to do with the devil at all! LaVey Satanism. It's basically Atheism with some ground rules. Created by Anton Szander LaVey, he only put 'Satanism' in the name to promote fear. Basically, only people who are able to be open-minded and look past the name are those who really know about it, which is why he named it as such. He also wanted to promote some fear in those that wouldn't delve any further past the name.

Satanists do not worship "satan". In fact it is against their creed to worship anything.
The basic philosophy of satanism can be summed up as "you are your own God".

I've read the Satanic Bible and I'm totally behind the philosophy and 0% behind the magic. I'm as close as you get without stepping into the supernatural.

satanists are just disturbed, psychotic, psychopathic maniacs, that need something to believe in. because there is no satan and people who have become this have lost all faith in humanity, or why else would they be a satanist? satanism opposes humanity. so they have to be to far gone, to be helped

I like Satan.
He's the only character in the Bible with any real wit and the only one who never actually lies.
But he is kinda sneaky.
