It can serve as example of how a small group of people with a certain agenda can railroad the system if the majority of the people don't participate. You can't complain about the system if you don't vote.

The government itself is not unconstitutional. The governmental structure itself is good, but career politicians corrupt the system. Bureaucracy corrupts the system. Term limits for all public offices need to be created.
There is no real difference between the 18-19th centuries and now other than the issues are a lot more complicated. Maybe politicians were a little more honest then. And news oganizations distort the truth now, which makes chosing the government even harder.

We should all mark our calenders for 50 - 60 years from now & ask our grandkids
I am willing to bet this administration will prove to be one of the worst ever leaderships our country has ever had... unless you happen to be in the top 10% of wealthy persons in this country when this administration was in place
I am speculating our grandkids & mother earth will have reason to hate us over the actions of this adminstration
And you are 100% correct... the only good this adminstration has done is to prove the need, more so than ever, of The People to take control of government and demand accountability
Shame it isn't possible to file a class-action lawsuit 20 years from now against the persons currently in this administration in the same manner folks are sueing asbestos & other chemical manufactures for screwing up thier environment and their lives

This administration has served but one good purpose for the people of the United States of America - to show in the most stark and vivid ways possible how inaction on the part of the citizens of this great nation can be turned against them.
When parts of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights can be torn from our hands without the screaming outrage that should immediately follow; When wars can be started in our name based on falsehoods; When basic human rights can be violated and treaties voided; And when our elected officials choose to operate in secrecy for fear of their misdeeds coming to light and none of these actions is followed by the gathering of thousands of citizens in our capitol with torches and pitchforks - inaction and intellectual sloth have won a victory over Liberty.
If we are very lucky, this administration will have awakened the sleeping giant that is the Citizenry and our stolen liberites shall be restored, our nation's tarnished standing on the world stage brightened, and our humanity towards ourselves and all others will return.
But only if we are very lucky.....

It is possible that one's sole reason for existence is to serve as a bad example to others. I think it is very appropriate to the political situation we have now in the States. So, yes, I agree. And it would definitely be one of the few positives the Bush Administration has managed to manifest.

This administration is not working for peace. This administration wants people to be ignorant of their rights. The Bill of Rights Was written by te people and for the people. The Constitution of the United States says that poeple have the FREDOM Of Speech. Why can't people pray to God whenever and wherever? Why take God In Trust off the face of Coins? I'll Pray that this Administration changes for the Better in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Only one problem....the only thing that matters is money. Money is liberty now. The"people" who make laws, bought there way into office (as opposed to say..the best candidate). The decisions they make protect money, not our rights, or liberties. Oh...and where are we involved in the laws they make, controlling our liberties. (George has declared he's the decision maker)

What is good for some is not good for many. Democracy is about putting the needs of the many above the needs of the few. If we would restore true Democracy here, we might appreciate our liberty.

This administration is good for the Republican conservatives whose aim is to return to the eighteenth century's 'keep the people poor and uneducated' to better effectively control and govern them.
