It depends on the kind of liver disease. If you have alcohol induced liver disease, then yes. Just stop drinking and check yourself into a rehab for help. My husband nearly died of that but he recovered fully. If this is something that needs a transplant, ask family members to be donors. It is possible to donate 1/2 of a living liver. The liver is the only internal organ that can heal itself. If a living donor is found, the doctors can remove one lobe and transplant it into the patient. The lobe in both people will grow to be a single lobe, full size liver that will function the way a two-lobe liver does.
