Love at first sight can be true and fake at same time depending on the person himself.
True case: If the person is honest and sincere from within so the moment his eye captures a connective spark to the significant other he immediately builds rainbows of love in his head and heart and from here comes the start.
Fake case; When a person is a player and flirting all times, so he attach himself to fake illusions of vibrations to reach his victim until he either succeeds or fails and turns out naively funny at the end.

So it is all about us who can build endless melodies of a true fairytale or illusions of submissiveness and nightmares.

Thanks.

There is much confusion about this topic because of the different ways that the word Love is used. The phrase Love at First Sight can mean many different things, but time will always clarify what happened.

First, there is Lust at first sight. This happens to both males and females and is associated with a very strong desire for physical release with the other person. The associated mental concept is "I wanna jump his bones" or "I gotta get me some of that". These feelings tend to fade quickly after a few intimate encounters.

Romance at first sight tends to happen when the other person seems to match all of the major parameters of an internal shopping list of what "I want in a partner". The romance can last for months, but eventually fades when one or the other discovers that the partner is not who they were believed to be (or when reality sets in).

Love, true love, is rare because most people are out looking for one of the relationships listed above. Love always seems to happen when people stop looking. It is often a surprise and it can happen "at first sight". Love lasts forever.

I believe in it and I don't. True love at first sight is a connection of the souls, two people meant to be together, much like your story. On the other hand, some people construe love at first sight merely in regards to appearance (like the song 'You're Beautiful'). So, even though it's a romantic notion, I have to say I don't believe it happens everyday. It's kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

I think it's probably a combination.
I fell into this situation recently--thought we were perfect, then got to know him better. The lust is still there, but I now question the love.
