will they ever put forth some theories of their own? Or does it stop at 'goddiddit'?

A few of them do some valid science. None has ever come up with any large scale hypothesis, but have raised some interesting questions. Some actually perform experiments and then fit the results to Young Earth models using fudge factors. Most just take donations and write pamplets.

'Goddiddit' is the only explanation they can come up with. Unfortunately you need to understand science before you can propose any viable theory, and as creationists seem totally opposed to science, that will never happen. But then, they're not so opposed to science when it cures them of diseases, or when they can sit in front of their cable TV writing their cheques to make the televangelist richer while they get poorer. And they like to drive round in their big flash cars, whilst ignoring all the poor and dying.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.

Welcome back, Socrates! I think the main thrust of creationist science is to interpret inconclusive research in terms of the Genesis version of Creation. I found one site that goes into the Young Earth hypothesis: http://www.halos.com/ and one that I haven't really explored that is all about shooting down the Big Bang theory (it sounds more like the "I'm being persecuted!" school of conspiracy theorists): http://www.orionfdn.org/ . If these theories have to be advertised as they are, by their own websites without the approval of mainstream scientific publications, it makes me think more that they are trying to make up for the shortcoming that disallowed their publications in the first place. It seemeth a leap of faith to interpret the halos theory to a Young Earth, when geological samples are so diverse around the Earth. The best it can point to is a local upheaval.

I am all for good scientific research, properly reviewed and disseminated. But when they start shouting "I'm being repressed!" that is not proof that they are on to the truth, only that they are upset about not making it into the journals and mainstream acceptance.

Creationists are not out there to discredit evolution theory. I believe if we evolved, it would be in the Bible. But by all means, keep discrediting creation theory by saying "goddiddit",it really sounds silly like that, but I believe God did it.

That would require real scientists to put forth a real scientific theory. There is no such thing as a creation scientist. Can you imagine the utter failure one of their theories would be? Just look at the utter failure of them trying to discredit the ToE has been. Face it, creationists are failures.

Creation science, an oxymoron, created by morons for morons

You like this question, don't you?

Evolution is a scientific theory that explains the facts.

Creationism is a belief that explains nothing. Using the scientific method, you will not find the creator. You have to go back to the prophets.

GAH! That was a painful thought. I never want to see that post-apocalyptic world again.

I'd imagine after that, they'd work on the "Theory of Creation by means of divine selection," where-in they say tha Yahweh created everything outside of time, and only kept what he thought was pretty and that would burn well [poor goat.]

When that theory falls on them, they will fall to, "Creation by random prize winning," wherein Yahweh created everything because he kept winning model kits.

Hey, I can see it. It's not like that has any more science behind it than creation.

well actually they do have a theory, but its not a scientific theory because its impossible to test. Intelligent design. Some people I think are trying to hard to marry faith and science.

I'm pretty convinced they will never come up with a replacement for evolution, because there's just too much evidence in favor of evolution for it to be replaced. I suppose in the future a lot of them will get to their senses about it when science evolves, but a lot of fundamentalists will never be able to give up the literal interpretation of the bible. Maybe their children or theirs children's children. It's evolution baby.

Creationists are not wrong, but neither are they right. to them, God created the world. to others, god did not. but they don't have to contradict each other. the problem arises only when they try to interact. there will come a time when the world WILL have to choose between religion and science, but that will not be for a long time.
