Ansem - "All words begin in Darkness and also end. The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it. It grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came! You see, darkness is the heart's true essence."

Sora - "That's not true! The heart may be weak, and sometimes... it may even give in. But I've learned... that deep down there's a Light that never goes out!"

Evil is not progressing. The truth is that the same evils are at work today that were 2500 years ago. Technologies have changed, but the human mind has not. The same evils are at work in every generation. Some problems are more evident at some times than at others, but the same ones reoccur.

For me that is the greatest news of Easter. God is intervening to create a new heaven and a new earth where the lion will eat grass beside the lamb.

First, what some people view as evil may not be the general concensus. If you're speaking of the current events that seem pointless and inherently wrong, ask yourself why these things are happening in the first place, and try not to let your decisions be clouded by what you're fed on a daily basis by the media.

It is, sadly, in human nature to be selfish to to provide for oneself over all others..
it is then considered 'evil' due to religious influence over time..

A lot of things you'd consider 'evil' actually arent..

Se xoutisde of marriage, abortion, prostitution, and even, in some cases, murder, actually should not be considered evil..

But the word of 'god' has warped our judgement from common sense to moral thinking over time, and thus there is much evil and hate in the world, some of it false, but also some of it our own faults by forcing religious influence into everything..

It is only natural that, now, in the days of communication and freedom, that people turn from 'good' to pursue their own pleasures and happiness, and not that of a nonexistant 'higher power'..

I don't know that it has - look at Hiroshima, nothing like that has occurred recently. I believe the Media certainly contributes to our awareness of it, watch the news, how much of it is ever good? If we look back to the barbarians, torture of christians in the Roman Days, etc., I really don't believe there is more evil as a percentage of the population, just more broadcasting of it.

Cos it's easier to insight hostility and anger than it is to spread happiness. Think about how many relationships end cos one isn't making the other happy. Or one finds it so easy to become annoyed with the other, and finds it easy to notice flaws that otherwise wouldn't phase anyone. It's hard to love when there's so much to hate, hanging on to hope when there is no hope to speak of.

Evil will increase and love will wax cold as the hour approaches when "time will be no more".The signs are clear that we are indeed in the Last Days.

Because that's part of human nature. Humans simply are greedy creatures. There's nothing religious or supernatural about it.
