Hi,

Yes, I believe it.

I think, in 15 years, Turkiye will be a member of the European Union.
This is a time duration.
Because, strategy of Turkiye is so important between the East and the West. Turkiye is also a energy corridor such as Baku-Ceylan oil pipe line.
In political, Turkiye is Secular Country.

Regards

It all depends on how fast the Turkish government complies with EU criteria in economics and civil rights. Also it depends on the sincerity or hipocricy of Europe. They included countries like Bulgaria which is not much better than Turkey. Also South Cyprus, who rejected a peaceful re unification of the island, when Turkish Cypriots said YES, but were rejected. Hipocricy rules in EU:

The accession talks has started in 2005. So, Turkey is officially accepted as a candidate. We have to provide the criteria to be accepted as a full member. But according to 2006 report, Turkey has a long way to go. By the way, there are opposers in Turkey and current EU members. But I don't think that means anything. Process happens. Let's hope best for the region and the world.

I think that the way for Turkey to join the European community will be too long... While turkish people are not less civilised, educated and friendly than any European nation, Turkish governments must first prove that they respect and protect human rights, as there is abuse even of the political rights of the turks (e.g. of the Left)

Actually, some people don't want to join E.U in Turkey, Because they think that , even if Turkey will join the E.U., it becomes a kind of economical slave for west.
For instance, in Today, many powerful european companies wants to buy Turkish banks, energy markets, production areas etc. and they say that it's GLOBALISM ,most of them wants to brake the rules of NATIONAL COUNTRY systems.
So. in my opinion, its very dangerous for Turkey, because we are still young republic (established in 1923) and we need to get more power for economical and political progress to join E.U...

No, never! European union members are just fully satisfied that Turkey is in the "waiting lounge" because they can and did mandate anything they want in Turkey, using "the hope of becoming a member". If Turkey becomes a member then their strategy will end. Secondly they do not want to offend a market composed of 70 million people. They are afraid of 70 million population that might change number of chairs in EU parliament, they are afraid of young population (15-64 years: 67.7%) that can explode job market in Europe. IF EU MEMBERS WERE SINCERE THEY WOULD GIVE A DATE AND THE SAME PRIVILAGES AS THEY HAVE GIVEN TO PRIOR CANDIDATE COUNTRIES.
Let me explain more about the waiting lounge situation Eu members can sell anything they want to Turkey, but Turkey can only as much as the quotations. (I don't even want mention how they limit our truck drivers by giving 15 day visa) Anyone who holds a Eu passport and enough money can have a dream house near Mediterranean or Aegean sea but a Turkish engineer has to overcome sickminded processes to get a visa for visiting his company's Headquarters in Eu. (even if the engineer was working for 2 years for that %80 German owned company. From my personal experience)

EU plays a good game with Turkish counterparts. Only hoping the time comes earlier for them to say "GAME OVER, MY DEAR FRIEND"

EU is fake.
They fight in 100 years time for resources. (WW1,WW2)
And now they try to share resources in democratic way.
Like roman empire , EU will divide in 2 in 10 years To rich and poor countries.
We need EU for prove our economy.
EU need us for military protection .

It won't become a member as long as countries like England, France, and Germany can get cheap labor in Africa.
