i'm the teacher not the student. i want to make it fair for ALL the students not just the christian students.
it's my way of being tolerant (which can be difficult at times , i must admit).

o.k. so the major ones like yom kippur. what is that, anyway?

Some important Jewish holidays or more likely holy days:

Yom Kippur
Rosh Hashanah
Hanukkah (Holiday)

Muslim Holy Days:
Ramadan

There are others. You may want to go to your local public library and ask the librarians for books on religion. There are some generic books that discuss major religions in a basic way. Many list the important days in each religion.

Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, etc.

Sounds like you want to be politically correct, so I suggest you search the Internet for "religious holidays". You will be more likely to get most or all if you keep searching.
But, with all the "religions" in America, you may not get in a full week.
Good luck with your school. I appreciate anyone who will recognize Christians. Seems we are under fire these days, yet I cannot find a reason for us being singled out.

There are hundreds of different holidays in all the different religions . You may be better off thinking of good ways to study

Then there is also secular holidays and unofficial holidays...

You aren't going to have much of a school year if you do this. Add every Sunday since people go to church that day.

I agree with the above about ways to study.
