He's a 5 month old kitten. We took him to the vet yesterday to get his second set of shots. He got the distemper and leukemia vaccination. He was fine yesterday but this morning he is very anti social (Very different than normal) he is vomiting this yellow liquid, and his paws feel hot and when he licked my hand his tongue felt hot. All he wants to do is sleep on my bed, which he doesn't normally do, and he doesn't want to be held which he always likes. He will let me pet him for a moment then cries and moves away. He wont eat or drink anything. Could this have to do with the vaccinations?
I have two other cats that are now living with my children, so I have been through a lot with cats in the past but I have never seen a cat seem to have a fever before.

Some animals have a reaction to the vaccinations, lethargy being one of the symptoms. We have had people say that their animals also didn't eat, acted abnormally and had tenderness at the injection site.
The only way to tell if he has a fever is to take a rectal temperature. A hot tongue and hot paws don't necessarily mean that there's a fever.
The yellow liquid he vomited could be bile, which is stomach acids coming up.
If he received his vaccinations yesterday (Friday), by tomorrow he should be back to normal. If he's not, or if he's vomiting more, extremely lethargic, not eating then you'll want to give the vet a call to have him checked out on Monday. If you believe there is something seriously wrong, you may want to take him to an emergency clinic.

Although the vaccine or shot could have caused the cat to become ill, the cat could have become sick if it has eaten some of the pet food that had been contaminated. Either way, take the cat to the vet to find out what is really wrong

You mentioned that you have kids, remember how when they got their shots they would be cranky afterwards and even sometimes feel a bit under the weather because of the shot? It is the same with cats or any other animal. They just got a small controled dose of the disease that they are being immunized against. He will be OK just let him sleep it off. To tell if a cat has a fever feel the very tips of their ears, if it is ice cold then it does.

Call the vet! Low grade fever and lack of appetite can be normal after vaccinations but the yellow liquid he's vomiting sounds like it could be bile...which is serious.

I would call my vet and ask what they thought, it maybe nothing but an reaction to the shot, but then again it could be something else. he may just tell you to wait for a couple day and try to get your kitty to have fluids so he not get dehydrated and watch him. I hope it is just a reaction to the shot. I know if anything happened to my babies I would be very heart broken they are like my kids.

It sounds like your cat may be having a vaccine reaction. You need to bring him back to the vet, or to an emergency facility for treatment. Even if it is not a vaccine reaction, he needs to be seen today!
