I've heard it said you are courting a possible heart attack, since you have suddenly increased your nicotine levels, and this causes your blood vessels to constrict even more. You have to decide: to smoke or not to smoke. Either way you go, there will be a price of suffering to pay... either short term for the now, or later -- after the smoking damage has been done (and can't be reversed).

Yes - you can get nicotine poisioning. Wear the patch or smoke is an either/or and never a "both". Very dangerous.

Overdose of nicotine causes nicotine poisoning.

He is truly stupid about this and out of control.

He needs to get a handle on himself and decide whether or not the smoking is worth his health failing.

He is letting everyone down by not taking care of himself, very irresponsible.

A real man can just kick a habit cold turkey.

If you're going to continue to smoke, remove the patch, for the love of Mike! If whomever is struggling to stop smoking, it's time to take it to the next level cos the patch and cigarettes are a malatov cocktail.

I don't think so, but one thing I do know is that if you continue to smoke it will kill you. My mother just died from emphysema and she was 57 years old, which is young today. Please stay focused on quitting, be healthy and live a long life.
