If it's the teacher, then he's probably only lending you the book so you can follow along with the rest of the class. Then again, he may "like" like you.

Lending u his science book doesn't means that he likes u, maybe he does,but anyone can't guess that he likes u or not only with such a little thing.

Just because he lent you something doesn't mean he likes you; maybe he just felt bad for you because you didn't have a book. If you lent someone something once, would you want them to assume that you liked them? Probably not... This guy is probably just a nice guy.

giving someone a science book doesnt mean they like you, it could mean there really friendly. But whats to lose, ask him out and hope for the best.. good luck

Ok. Think of it like this. There was another boy in your class and you lent him a pencil and you're really nice to him. Does this mean you like him?
