It's Islaam, no doubt about that.
Islaam is the most popular religion in the world. Let's take America, soon 1 in every 3 people will be Muslim, right now it's 1 in every 4. Therefore the answer to your question is Islaam. Followed by Christianity and others.

Catholicism- 1.5 Billion followers throughout the world. That's the most of any religion. Islam has almost a Billion now though, so they'd be second.

It seems to be both Christianity and Islam right now. Islam is appearing to be growing, and very soon might be the most popular in a decade or so. God help us.

It depends on how you define the term "religion." For instance, you could say Roman Catholicism is one religion and Anglicanism is another one. Or you could say the religion is Christianity. The same goes for all other religions. So, it is really hard to say.

Islam seems to be overtaking "Christianity" (in all its forms) in many parts of the world (if only by force), but I think we'll see Baha'i start to make strong growth really soon due to its universal appeal.
