An old fashioned word for ethnicity is race, race is really quite an old word used origonally to describe different peoples and their characteristics kind of like species of animal. Ethnicity is really a kinder way to discribe a group of people's usually physical characteristics based on where they come from.
Culture then extends on ethnicity, because often people of different ethnicities have different cultures (the way of seeing the world, acting and beleifs and values).
