My little sis is 11. I am posting this for her, here is what she says (direct responses to her not me):

I am 11 years old and I have tried to tell my parents I don't believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and the Tooth Fairy. I have to be subtle because my litle bro is 9 and he still believes, as do a lot of my friends.
They say stuff like "Why wouldn't you believe in (fill in the blank)? I believe in (fill in the blank)". I have tried addressing presents to them from "Santa", telling them straight out, and all kinds of things, and nothing works. They still pretend that they all exist, even when my little brother is not around. They know I won't tell secrets- so why won't they realize I don't believe in SC, the EB, and the TF?

I'm homeschooled- all my friends are too "nice" to say something like "There's no Santa Claus/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy." I already lost my last tooth tho.

I don't wanna "play Santa up"- last year at Xmas my mom was saying how my bro & I were looking at the Norad Santa Tracker. I could've DIED. I can't let my parents think I believe in those kinds of thing.

maybe you can talk to mom in private and tell her you're getting older and are beginning to talk to kids at school and you're maturing and found out things but you dont want to say these things in front of your brother. how does this sound? Or maybe you can play Santa up and get more surprises at Xmas time if you pretend.good luck. PS Believe there's a time when Mom knows you all dont believe in these fun people. Yours is now..

Hilarious question! LOL! Just be the little 11 year old adult in the house and tell your parents you need to talk to them privately about a very serious issue. Sit them down, pace the floor, wringing your hands together and spring the bad news on them. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY! Besides, why would a bunny have eggs? They hop and eggs break! Imagine the carnage!" Do you have a chimney in your house? If not, say something like, "If Santa is reall Mom and Dad, then why are we living here and not in Miami Beach?" And as far as the tooth fairy, ask them whether or not the dude is going to visit you when you are in your sixties and losing your teeth and how much is that fairy going to give you for each tooth?" LOL! Set 'em straight but not in front of your little brother if he truly believes all that stuff. LOL!
