Well depends on how serious it is. You best bet is to go see your doctor because minor infections in your feet can lead to some big time infections problems in the future. It would be dangerous and painful for you to do it yourself so trust me, see a professional. Keep the area clean and good luck!

Ouch! I used to ice skate and got ingrown toenails all the time. The best method is to see a podiatrist (foot doctor) to prevent infection.
If you don't want to do that, then wash your hand and your foot. Then use a clean metal nail file to lift up the edge of the nail that is ingrown and stuff a tiny bit of a kleenex tissue or a very small piece of a cotton ball under. Do not push this in very far, just enough to be under the nail and lift it away from the skin-- leave a good amount of the tissue coming out from the nail so it wont get stuck in there. Leave the tissue under your nail. You need to do this over everyday and change the tissue to prevent infection. Keep this up until your nail grows out enough so it wont grow back into your skin. --This is somewhat painful to do, so only use this method for minor ingrown nails. If you have had this problem for a while, see a doctor!

it will be painful to walk or putting pressure on that toe. there will also be redness around the part that is digging into your toe. my best advise is treat it by yourself as much as possible but if its gets to agravited go see a doctor.. it really sucks getting a partial or a full toe nail removed, i wouldnt recommend it if you dont need it.. they numb it up by sticking needles in deep in your toe from the front(past your toe nail) and then come in from the top of your toe nail and might wiggle the needle around to be sure of hitting the vein. next step the tool is pretty much like needle nose plyers and they pry your toenail off of your toe and bend and peel it off cutting off as much as they need. they can also finush by putting somestuff that burns the skin im not exactly positive about the names of everything but i do remember that it hurts real bad getting the shots.. but you feel nothing during the quick opperation and the next couple of days after suck.. but the initial shots are the only part i would never go back for

Clip it/break of the corner that is ingrown...It hurts like hell..But it is better than walking around with the sore toe forever..You can also call a foot doctor..I had mine clip the first one I got. He did it with a lot less pain.

A Podiatrist suggested rubbing Vicks Vapor Rub on the toe after soaking/bathing. It definitely relieves the soreness until it can be safely removed and also fights fungus.

You should soak your feet in warm water and epsom salt everyday for a couple of days or a week, it will get soft and brittle and then you can cut around it until the new one grows in or the old one falls off.
This is what I do, I hope that it helps you.
Good Luck

You need to go to the doctor and have it removed.
It could led to a infection.
