The ONLY people you MUST have are yourselves and an officiant that is legally able to marry you and (in most states) two witnesses, the two witnesses are usually the couple's Maid of Honor and Best Man.
Optional, but frequently included are bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, ring bearer, and flower girl.
If you need any other help I am just an email away. :)

The first thing to do is lots of research. This question (or similar ones) is asked 100 times a day on this site. By doing some prep work, you can find all the answers that you need, more than you need. You need to decide the type of wedding you want to have. Do you want to honour your guests by being thoughtful and elegant or do you want to churn out an "all about me" wedding or a wedding where you've overinvited people so now they are cattle? If it's the latter, then simply have bad food catered in, make the food yourself, make the guests pay for alcohol, and find a cheap community center to have the reception. If the first one sounds more like what you'll want, then start contacting places to find out what it costs per person and then work backwards. If it's $50 for a nice dinner and free flowing champagne/wine, then figure out how much you'll spend on flowers, your dress, accessories, the officiant, the wedding site, the DJ, etc. If after all that you are left with $3000, then you'll know that you can invite 60 people. Remember that an elegant wedding is not one with costco trays, a BBQ pit, a cash bar, a bad boom box with home mixed CDs, etc. But, it also doesn't have to be dripping with flowers, lobster, Dom Perignon, Vera Wang, and Top Shelf Liquor. A happy medium is the best way to honour your guests and yourselves. :)

You dont need anyone besides the two of you but typically there will be a Maid/Matron of Honor, a Best Man, bridesmaids and groomsmen, a flower girl and a ring bearer, or some combination of these. Good luck!

Bridesmaids- optional
flower girl -optional
ring bearer- optional
speaker- optional
His
Best man
Groomsmen- optional
Keep in mind these are all suggestions, you can just have a maid of honor and a bestman and that's it. You don't Have to have the other people. We are not having Any children at the wedding so we are not having any children in the wedding.
Also we are having the groommen also be ushers to keep the party smaller.

Yes, a Maid of Honour (or Matron of Honour if she is married), and several bridesmaids, depending on how many you want. You don't have to have a flower girl and ring bearer, but can. He needs a Best Man and groomsmen. You will need a few ushers for the church to show people to their seats. Someone to be Master of Ceremonies at the reception, a few girls to sit at the guest book at the reception.
But first of all, you must book a minister or whoever is going to do your ceremony, so your date can be set, then you go on from there. Book the venue, the caterer, the band, choose invitations, decorations, cake, attendants' clothing, your gown and his tux.... and the list goes on.
However, all of this will depend on the number of people you are having and the budget you and your bf have. Just each of you save as much money as you can now, project how much you can each save each month until the wedding date.
Good luck!

Depending on the size of the wedding you will need atleast one person to stand for you, I have seen up to six bridesmaids before. You will need a best man to stand for the groom. And the ushers can stand with him as well try to make them equal if you have 4 ladies then you need 4 men. You will need a flower girl and ring bearer. Also a guest book attendant.

Your side
Maid Of Honor: best person fitted for duties
Bridesmaids: however many you want- closest friends/family
Flower girl: holds/throws flowers down the aisle
His Side
Best Man: his best person fitted for duties
Groomsmen: Closest friends/family
Ring Bearer: carries wedding rings down the aisle
Make sure you have same amount of bridesmaids as groomsmen bc they walk down together.
The ring bearer usually carries a pillow down the aisle with fake rings and the best man has the real ones.
Any other questions just email me. :) Congrats!

The ONLY people you need for a wedding is a bride, groom, officiant and a witness to sign the wedding documents. All the other people standing there in matching outfits are extra.
