i was supposed to receive it yesterday (Friday), but it never came in. i don't know what to do.

Remember that this is Easter Weekend, some banks were closed yesterday for Good Friday, contact your bank on Monday and ask when DD are posted.

Was this friday two or three weeks after you filed? The IRS actually gives themselves two fridays to make direct deposits. Also, Friday is the date the IRS transfers the funds to your bank. Your bank may actually take several days to post it to your account. If the IRS told you it would be deposited yesterday, give it until Monday or Tuesday, and then call your bank.

The bank may have it, but it didn't arrive till late afternoon, and deposits aren't posted till the next day when that happens, and being a Friday, that would mean Monday.

Well, if my situation is any example, I requested direct deposit and the check showed up in the mail (on a Monday). It took about 6 weeks to get it, too-bummer!

Hi!
I would recommend waiting too...it will come. I've had more "appear" on the first part of the week. I think only once did I recieve my refund on Friday.
I know for a fact they queue all the returns that come in during the week and process them all on Friday.
A tax preparing friend told me that many moons ago.
