What is that they're so afraid of anyway? Could it be the truth? Or are they afraid other Christians might start to see homosexuals as people?

Hey Jack, homosexuals and alcoholics are too different entities, it is ridiculous to try and compare the two. Alcoholics can ruin their lives and other people's lives by continuing their dangerous lifestyles. Drinking and driving kills(Not all alcoholics drink and drive, there just is a greater chance of that happening).....Alcoholics can be abusive too their spouses, children, and other family members. Homosexuals do not harm or kill people to get their point across, they deserve their rights. Homosexuality is genetic, I don't believe anyone would choose to be persecuted because of who they love. It is in our genes that make us who we are. What they do behind closed doors is none of our business, they do deserve their rights! It is no different from women's rights and African American's rights(to a certain degree). Also, remember that I am not saying that all alcoholics are terrible people who drink and drive and kill people. However, it cannot be denied that alcoholics do ruin their lives and others. They need help, they deserve the right to get help. Yet, they don't deserve the right to continue drinking their lives away and ruining their families lives. Furthermore, I am just stating that it would be ridiculous for alcoholics to ask for their rights because what they are doing is detrimental to their health and their families. What gays do behind closed doors should not harm or disrupt the lives of ANYONE!!!

P.S. jack...you say that gays force their rights onto Christians, how about the Christians that come to my campus and sing derogatory songs about gays and say that gays are going to hell because they are "sinning"....Isn't this the same thing??? I believe that most Christians are intolerant and force their beliefs on everyone else...

What is the truth? Homosexuals are people that have made a choice just like anything else. I do not and will not get into a debate about what is wrong and right and what the Bible says and does not say.

Therefore, I will only say this. Choices are made every single day. There is NO scientific proof that homosexuality is genetic. If there is then there is a huge problem with the scientific community because there is so much proof against that theory or so called proof.

You beat a 20 365 days previous guy? That replaced into no longer correct. he's too previous that you need to regulate his each and every concept. God gave him loose will and also you need to too. he will make blunders yet you won't be able to stress your beliefs on him. you could in simple terms deliver him up contained in the way he could go and need he does no longer leave from it. i imagine you probably did him an outstanding incorrect and also you owe him an apology. Spare the rod and smash the toddler, in simple terms applies to babies. he's grown so enable him go. I consider you on Prop 8 yet this replaced into in simple terms incorrect and that i'm no longer certain you fairly did the finest area. that's in simple terms that astounding. properly, in case you're a troll, I did my best to furnish an truthful answer to the question.

Why do they fear the truth about evolution or modern cosmology or the age of the universe?

For the same reason: It would require them to re-evaluate their understanding of the world and their primitive hatred of other points of view.

It's like Medieval Europe coming to terms with the fact that the earth is not the center of the universe. These guys still want to cling to an arrogant myth about a personal god interested in one puny species on the edge of one of billions of galaxies.

And they'd rather do that then allow science to broaden their understanding. Heck, they might even be able to rectify their religion with the real world and start to improve things (approach to HIV, etc). But they're not interested in facts, they want emotional delusion. Even if it screws up everybody else.

We do see homosexuals as people...because they are! God loves them as much as He loves everyone else.....

"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him." (John 3:16-18)

However....God does view homosexuality as sin; and is not pleased when people commit sin. In the Bible, the book of Leviticus is full of rules concerning sex. This does NOT mean He hates the people who commit these sex sins...He's just not thrilled that they live that way, and will punish those who do.

"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense." (Leviticus 20:13)

God does not want His creation to live in sin; so when sin has been committed, there is a consequence to be given. Just like when human parents give a consequence to their children for doing something they shouldn't have done.

He loves you, regardless....but doesn't want you to do something you shouldn't do.

The fact that people take the bible literally nowadays is ridiculous. It was written/constructed in an era when very few people were educated. People's undertstanding of all sorts of issues was so limited. Hey, we are still learning!!

Basically small minded and fearful people take the bible literally without considering "the spirit" of what God stands for.

"Love one another as I have loved you".

I don't see what harm is done by being homosexual. If a person threatens to harm me, I will avoid them. I don't see how homosexuality threatens me.

Christian churches generally are full of hypocrisy. This weekend the Pope spoke in Rome about a new era in which women would play a much greater role of leadership, yet he will not allow women to be priests...

Organsied churches, full of fear and hyposcrisy. I'll leave it well alone!

Christians believe homosexuality is a sin. But, also is substance abuse. The gay people have pushed their beliefs on the rest of the world. There has been protests and marches. They have worn shirts stating "I'm gay and proud of it." Yet, you don't see alcoholics banning together or demanding equal rights. Of course, they would have to do a weave or crawl instead of a march.

We Christians aren't afraid of Homosexuals... we don't mind the people themselves, but we hate the sin.

Homosexuals are people, that's a duh. No Christian church or college should try to ignore that. But homosexuality is against all Christian beliefs, and it is a disorder, lots of times the result of abuse. Christians should condemn homosexuality, not homosexuals. We have to accept them as humans of course, but that doesn't mean we have to accept what they're doing. That's why no person who accepts and declares homosexuality as normal and right can be welcomed with open arms- that's being a hypocritical. You gotta remember, it's not the people themselves, it's what they're doing.

--WHO CARES what they feel, OF COURSE homosexuals are people BUT they practice a perverted life style---That view will neither change in Jehovah God's eyes, NOR in Jesus eyes:

WARNINGS about any perversions:

(Psalm 50:16-22) “16 But to the wicked one God will have to say: “What right do you have to ENUMERATE my regulations, And that you may bear my covenant in your mouth? 17 Why, you—you have hated discipline, And you keep throwing my words behind you. 18 Whenever you saw a thief, you were even pleased with him; And your sharing was with adulterers. 19 Your mouth you have let loose to what is bad, And your tongue you keep attached to deception. 20 You sit [and] speak against your own brother, Against the son of your mother you give away a fault. 21 These things you have done, and I kept silent. YOU IMAGINED(my caps) that I would positively become like you. I am going to reprove you, and I will set things in order before your eyes. 22 Understand this, please, YOU forgetters of God, That I may not tear [YOU] to pieces without there being any deliverer.”

JESUS WORDS:

(Luke 17:28-30) “28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sod´om it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 THE SAME WAY it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed.” (OUR TIME)

--ONES ACCEPTANCE to a college is of far lesser worth than the acceptence by God!
--ARMAGGEDON is a powerful force that will indeed show that the God of the Bible & his Son, are personages with GREAT MORALITY---THAT INDEED should be mankinds great concern, not what is acceptable by a college!
WHETHER that be accepting notorious lifestyles, which should include adulterers, thieves, dishonest business practicers and the "whole 9 yards"
