I keep on readin that sentence. 'There are no atheists in Foxhole'.

I did a little research on it. Foxhol is a little town in the north of the Netherlands. It has 1628 inhabitants. It has no church. All the people that live here are atheist. All of them.

There are no Christians in Foxhol.

So, why would anybody keep telling this awful lie about there being no atheists in Foxhol?

LOL

there are plenty of atheists in foxholes:

Also since they like to equate all communists with atheists, what of the wars in which the chinese and russians participated? Plenty of "atheists" in foxholes there?

Its another example of flawed logic, along with the inevitable Pascal's Wagers and "Morals without God" questions.

Those who are not in foxholes believe that God is protecting them and that when they die, they will transported to a better place. The atheists are all in the foxholes gritting their teeth.

You are wasting your time researching that little town.. I would rather head to the town of Intercourse, Pennsylvania. THAT sounds like a place to visit!

Maybe it's no atheists in a "foxhole", like during a war? if you're in a foxhole, you want to believe in god. It's like another saying, "there are no atheists on a sinking ship."

In cobat, soldiers dig what is called a "foxhole" to take cover in as well as shoot out of. The saying is to say that anyone that is in danger/near death or so forth is believing in something.

It's just Christian propaganda.
You know how the "Soldiers of God" are about making up little macho-man stories about themselves.
Everyone knows Christians snipe from the safety of the sidelines...

Quit acting stupid. It simply means that in wartime when a soldier who is an atheist and is fearing for his life in a foxhole, he suddenly becomes a "believer" and calls out to the God he keeps denying to come and save him.
