Probably yes due to the feeling of fullness that eating fruit provides...the fiber/bulk. One cannot answer how much weight as it would depend strictly on how much fruit you ate. People's versions of portion control vary greatly. Also some fruit are much more high in calories, for example and banana is "dense" where an orange is mostly water...so that in itself can cause a big variable. Good luck (now..if I could follow my own advice....)

If you're going to try something like that, try eating nothing but fruits AND vegetables. Veggies are better: they're healthier and have less sugar and have VERY LITTLE calories compared to fruit and other food.

I mean, of course you're going to lose weight. A few pounds. However, your metabolism (the rate at which you burn calories) will drop because your body thinks you're starving. In fact, once you resume eating carbs and normal food or binge, you will gain more weight back.

If you subtract 200-300 calories off from what you need, then you will lose almost the same amount of pounds each week AND doing it in a healthy way. You need to eat everything (except for junk food) to get all the vitamins and nutrients for you body.

yea u would lose weight if u ate any 1 thing for a whole week. Why? because ur body is missing the vitamins and minerals proteins and things from other foods.
u could eat all fruit, all veggies. all twizzlers, all skittles, all popcorn, all shrimp fried rice.... pretty much all anything will make u lose weight.
but by eating all fruit i would guess u would lose 10 lbs if u weigh like 160lbs . and the bigger u are the more weight u will lose. so goodluck. i personally wouldnt recommend this kind of diet

No, it definitely wouldn't be healthy (you need balance in your diet) and losing weight depends on calories, more than what you eat.

To lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. If you eat as many calories worth of fruit as you do other foods (when you are not losing) then you will not lose weight.

Try eating a balanced diet...reduce your food portions a little bit to help you lose, and exercise regularly. That's the right way to do it so you won't have to worry about it being quite unhealthy, and you'll be more likely to keep it off.

Good luck!

NO! DO NOT do that. I am a personal trainer and let this be clear- you will loose two lbs. that week than gain it back. Fruit is exelent for you, but your body can not live off it. Try eating a well balanced diet and doing a hard work out for quick results, or a light one to just stay in shape.

you wouldn't lose any body fat. any "weight" lost on the scale would all be water weight. which would return once you resumed normal eating habits.
