It would be pretty hard to get any laborious work done with one of those things over your face, wouldn't it. I guess It might soak up the sweat?
Why should women be hidden and men not hidden? Is it because men can not control their desires and women can?
If men had to wear one of those things over their faces they probably would brush their teeth a lot so that they wouldn't have to smell their own breath all day.
If people can not see another persons face and expressions I wonder how they can tell if someone is being dishonest?

The garb of the men in those countries looks pretty ridiculous too. I think they just do what they are told Allah wants.

I imagine that the men who created and enforce those kind of dress code rules would've thrown that particular one out if they had been required to wear it too! Can you picture those guys going around in 100+ temperatures all bundled up-not!! I know there's supposed to be some kind of religious reason for women dressing that way, but I have always felt it was just the men's way of making sure their "property" doesn't get messed with. Kinda like "You can't really desire what you don't see"!

Well, if we were raised from a baby to wear it, and it was by law, then there would be nothing we could do.
Now, if they changed it all of a sudden and made us wear them today, there would be a huge protest. Personally, I wouldnt be able to handle the heat in da summer while wearing those. I feel bad for women in Iran who must wear the "Chador", they are sooo big and black! and it gets soo hott in da summer out there.

I think if their religion required them to wear certain clothes, a large % would wear them.

What do you think? They would refuse to do it. Religion used to oppress women, or any other group of people is anathema.
