Even if your boxer is still a puppy, it is too late for your to have his ears cropped. Cropping is done when they are still puppies, much like tail docking. Ear cropping is only for cosmetic reasons; please don't do it if you only want your dog to look better. By not having his ears cropped, you will save him much pain.

well most places won't do it unless your dog is of young age. Talk to an AKC breeder in your area. Uncropped ears are sometimes faulted in the show ring so they tend to crop the ears.
EDIT:
Ok you poor people lacking information. The original reason dog's ears were cropped were not for fighting (cropped ears wouldn't give advantage) but in most breeds (like the dane and boxer) to make them look taller for protection reasons. This way people wouldn't have to fear getting bit because people believe with such tall ears that they would assume the dog is larger than it really is (since boxers are pretty short). So please don't sound stupid and give information you think is correct unless you have a reliable source (mine being boxer breeders and my AKC book of dog breeds plus "Breed All About It" on Animal Planet)

You need to get it done by a vet, however if he is over 16 weeks of age it can no longer be done. Also be aware that most vets no longer do ear cropping and it is not taught in vet schools and is not condoned by AVMA so it may be very difficult to find a vet that will crop, who knows how to correctly crop Boxer ears or who wil ldo a good job.
Also be aware that after cropping therei s a lot of after care involved..it can take weeks, months even a year before they wil lstand and sometimes they never stand.

as stated, many vets these days no longer perform ear cropping. To those that seem to think that it is done at the time the tails are docked, you are wrong. Tail docking is done at from 2 to 5 days of age. Depending on the breed, ear cropping can be done as late as 6 months and any reputable vet will not do an ear crop until at least 16 weeks to ensure balance in the ear length to head and body which obviously cannot be reasonably viewed or estimated at a few days or a few weeks of age. It is essential that if one does look for ear cropping that they do find a vet experienced in the breed. Each crop depending on breed can vary. As for cosmetic, maybe maybe not. I was a breeder for over 45 years. Though my Miniature Pinscher pups ear cropping is left to buyers their history of damage done in performance of their work necessitated cropping. Rats and Mice chewed the ends off so badly that farmers were left with little choice but to take a knife to cut off the damaged area and sew it up.In short time they discovered by doing this when the dog was 4 to 6 months of age it greatly reduced any damage that could be done by rats and mice later. Many Min Pin's, Rat Terriers (which the Min Pin is breed stock for) as well as Jack Russell (Parson John Russell's terrier) generally were subjected to these injuries and as many are still used on farms for the purpose of ferreting out rats, vermin and mice etc it is still common (not cosmetic) to have this done. Though AKC no longer requires Min Pins ears to be cropped, they generally are not scored high as many long time judges and breeders look down on natural ears. So before too many IMO's are offered, you may want to read up as to why in some cases it is still necessary for these procedures.

Some people get into boxing as a sport because they love the excitement, the challenge, the competition. Their body takes a toll in this game, ears included. But to get a boxer's ears cropped? Why? What would Mohammed Ali look like with cropped ears? I'd think this over a couple of more times before I proceded. Good luck (to you and the poor guy with the beaten ears!).

Call your vet our vet does them. They just say it very painful on the dog and it can be very dangerous. They have alot of healing time with ears getting done. Our vet dont suggest it.

Don't! I absolutely hate it when people do that to their dogs! It's cruel and unnecessary. Your dog's personality is what matters, not what his ears look like. Please reconsider. There is no purpose for ear cropping whatsoever.
