After using the restroom, a man I just met follows me back to the lab (I'm on campus) and starts taking to me. He seemed a bit odd, but ,reluctantly, I start paying attention. Suddenly, out of the blue ... he starts telling me about his two kids and how his wife passed away in an car accident .... then he asked if I wanted to see something he often shared with his wife ...
… so he shows me a picture of his lower region (!!!!) on his cell phone .... then he asked some other inappropriate questions …..
He asked all these insane question after showing his private area to me!!!! OMG, my day was ruined :( Sorry, but not every girl gets turned on my disgusting gestures like that.
Yesterday, I told my advisor what happened and he was as shocked as I was. Should I report this man? Or should I Avoid him like the plague?

He has two kids ... thats another wierd twist. I showed his two kids on his cell before he revealed the other picture ....

its called sexual harrassment. you should definately report it. there are alot of weirdos out there. its sad for him, if his story is true and he needs counseling. but grieving people dont do things like that though. he very well could be some disgusting pervert looking for attention by manipulating someones sympathy. either way you need to report it and tell him to stay away or get a restraining order if the harrassment persists. stay safe and good luck

You should report him immediately. His behavior was inappropriate and made you feel uncomfortable. He gets his jollies by flashing himself. I suspect you are not his only victim.
If you ever find yourself in a situation again where someone is making you feel uncomfortable don't be afraid to be direct and tell him to stay away from you. You have every right to confront his disrespect and let him know that you don't appreciate his behavior. People like that prey on women who don't stand up for themselves. By showing him you respect yourself, he will find his amusement elsewhere. In the meantime, by reporting him you will have made the authorities aware of his presence and his behavior and they can take the appropriate action.
I don't know what the laws are but even if the authorities can't put him away, by making others aware of him you will save other women from having to go through the same thing. Respect yourself and don't be afraid to stand up for yourself.

I would report him. This guy's got a gear knocked loose somewhere...when you said "a man I just met follows me..." that gives me the creeps. Stay alert, pay attention to your surroundings, because I hate to say it, there's some real wackos in this world. Yuck. Sorry you had to experience that!

I think the local Police would be very grateful to you for contacting them about this guy,because it may have been disgusting to you but to them it`s almost the first sign of a perv.then when you have called them avoid at all costs & if need be get the college to bar him from any contact with girls of any description,that guy needs help,but not from you.

NOWAY!!!!!!!!!! You must report him, if he could do that with a total stranger. just think what he can do to those children. If he is doing what im thinking to his children , you are the only chance they have of a NORMAL life.

this is a clear case of sexual harassment tell him to stay as far away from you as he can tell him that if he dose anything like that again you will go all the way with sexual harassment charges
