Buttons! They're cuter, not as noisy, and can't break like zippers do. If a button falls off, it's easy to resew it back on, whereas a zipper that's broken is just broken. A button undone is cute and unembarassing, but a zipper undone is sloppy and humiliating!

I like zippers, easy to undo. Not like buttons, but sometimes buttons are better.

Buttons. Can be re-sewn if they fall off. You can change the buttons on your clothes if you don't like them.
Can't do that with Zippers.

Zippers --- they are far classier looking as a general rule. They also avoid the fumbling involved with securing and unsecuring buttons.

I hate buttons on those, because they sometimes come undone.
I like zippers on most of my clothing, easy to do up, and easy to take off!
