he's too old, if he says what about age then he's def right on the spot. I don't mean to dash your hopes but if he doesn't bring you too far too fast you will be holding him back, by 17 you want to go a whole lot further than you do at 13 or 14.

I dont know if thats illegal where you live but it certainly is where I live, as he is over the age of consent of 16 and you are not - making it a sex offence on his part.
If you both live in a country/area where the age of consent is 18, and your both underage, then I think there are still a lot of moral issues if not legal ones.
my advice would be to stay well away, I dont wanna sound patronising but one of the things you have to learn as you grow up is when a crush or a fantasy should remain just that and not be taken further

just be careful about the age i said sumthing iek that but we were 15 yrs apart and i didn't like it cause he already had a kid just be carful don't ever let a guy hurt u and just make sure u go somewhere were everyone can see u the mall and stufff lie tht

dont lie about you age to him. age is just a numer remeber. but just sit back and think if he only wants you for one thing. he can go to prision he he has sex or tries to have sex with you.
