How can you earn back someone's trust?

I messed up with this boy I like. We both knew we liked each other and everything but we weren't going out or even dating yet. I told him that I didn't have sex without a relationship and then he found out that two weeks earlier I hookup with one of my friends at a party (alcohol was involved) Now he says he just doesnt know if he can trust me. I tried to explain that I told him that because I didn't want him to think of my as easy and that I really did want a relationship with him. The other guy meant nothing...I just don't know what to do to prove to him he can trust me. He told me last night that we would talk tomorrow and that he would call me...I just hope he does. :(

wait for him 2 call u, if he dont, call him. tell him 2 giv u 2 a chance at lest. if he dont, then he wont know if he can trust u or not. life is all bout risks, and this is the one he needs 2 decide if he wanna take or not. good luck

First stop drinking and hooking up. You will earn a rep that you don't want and i hope you used condoms. Now for a answer to your question you need to show him with your actions not just words that he can trust you. Once you break someone's trust its hard to retain. How can he trust you after what you did. Tell him honestly you made a mistake and learned from it. Control your behavior so you are not in that type of situation again. Give him time to get to know the real you don't rush into a relationship or sex because you like someone. Get to know them first then have sex. Sex is not a game and has some serious conquences along the way that you may not be mature enough to handle. Don't push him let he call you and start as friends and work toward a relationship. Prove your not easy keep yourlegs closed and save it for someone who deserves you.

Everyone makes mistakes. All you can do is apologize. He's not your husband; he's just someone you like. Why do you need to work so hard? Truth is, he may not ever trust you, and I'm not sure I would either. It's a lot to ask, and maybe you have to accept the fact he looks at you differently now. You need to think about your health, Alcohol shouldn't be your excuse. Maybe you are lonely , it doesn't mean you have to desperate. Sexual diseases, need I say more!! If he doesn't trust you again then it just wasn't meant to be. I assume you are not that old. What like 21 @ least since alcohol was involed. Anyway there are plenty others out there to take his place. Don't sweat the small stuff.

I don't give trust back. For the exception of my kids. So I recon those that are bigger than me will say, earning it is dam hard. Some times they make you pay a high price for it. Be careful not to become his door matt Hun.

well this is a BIG problem. i mean hey all u can do. is hope and pray that u can convince him that u rele didn't mean to do that 2 him. i mean tell him how much u rele like him. and how much u rele wanna be with him. but whatever u do. DON'T try and turn everything around on him. bc that would only make the situation worse.

Well... that trust is gone, and you can't really rebuild trust, which really sucks. I say keep apologizing and if he doesn't call you tommorw you call him at around 8 or 9 pm.
