Branches of the Abrahamic family tree who contributed greatly to the cultural legacies of both Spain and France.
Fellow residents of Europe and the world in general.
Many egalitarian non-Jews and non-Muslims also share this view.

Concerning France, Catholic is just the oldiest religion of the country.And "the people" you talk about are... French people!!
