i would say 2-4 glasses a day just to keep your bones strong, but i dont think it really makes you taller-----your height depends on genes, unless you are really deprived of food and nutrition, then you will not get very big.

How to grow taller fast is a topic that has stirred quite a bit of controversy with one side of the fence saying "people grow, then people stop growing and that is all there is- they will never grow taller". Others submit that growth or inches are possible even after the traditionally accepted "growth period" and that they have to key to how grow taller fast even past the age of 21. So who has the right of it? Is it impossible to gain inches after the growth period is passed? Or is there someone out there with the key to how to get taller fast?
Well traditionalists are right; most of our growth takes place in those formative years. We gain many inches and many pounds in body mass as well as more than a few bad habits during those years. However, traditionalists stop too soon and are not totally correct. Growth is possible or at least attaining the full height a person was meant to be.
Many people suffer from a lack of proper nutrition which doesn't mean they are malnourished but they aren't giving their bodies what is required to grow taller. That doesn't mean they have an unbalanced diet but for certain jobs, the body requires certain fuels. The body doesn't get the right fuel, it can't do the job. That seems pretty straightforward, right?

Well Milk does have calcium which is a must for growing bones. There are many other factors involved such as genes, climate, diet etc. Although its an important component, there is no research to show that having milk helps you grow taller. It does make your bones stronger. I have a friend who has been having 5 glasses of milk since she was 2 years old. She is 4'11'' at age 23.

It helps your bones become more dense so yes, it could potentially make you a little bit taller but it works more in little kids. When you're older you won't see much of a difference but the calcium in milk is still essential to normal bone density and other chemical reactions in your body. Don't expect to shoot up a few feet after drinking milk ;) you probably won't notice a change but you'll feel better and it leads to healthier bones!

Actually it does, my mom's friend made him drink 2-4 glasses of milk a day and i've noticed him grow. He grew about 1-2 ft. In a year. Milk has a high source of calcium, and vitamin D, which if very good for your bones. I also reccomend you drink apple juice too, because it has Vitamin C which helps your Immune system. Along with that, It also has Vitamin D, Again; good for your bones; So i Reccomend you drink 2-4 glasses of milk a day, and 1-2 glasses of apple juice. Don't forget water, Water helps alot too.

There seem to be about 4 requests a day on 'Answers' from people who are unhappy with the cards that nature has dealt them as far as height is concerned.
Your height was genetically programmed in to you before birth. It can be reduced by diet, disease or toxins, but not increased. No special diets, medication, (bar growth hormone, which is only given to those rare unfortunates with a deficiency) or exercise will increase it.

Under eating and under sleeping can, to some extent, stunt your height growth. Exercise does not help your height growth and smoking can actually reduce your potential height by a whole inch.
You can see further tips in a web search to grow taller naturally.
