Actually I believe in Spirituality...and not organized religion, but in asking this question, let's find out what beliefs you think are necessary to create a spiritual minded group of individuals.
What important Biblical truths would be a part of this church?
Would there be a "leader"?
Would the individuals be Baptized? Sprinkling or immersion?
What beliefs concerning the Trinity would there be?
What beliefs about "Hell" would there be?
Who would be God's special group of people?
Is Jesus the head of the church?
Any other doctines that seem necessary to be a part of this group?
There's so many ideas, ( not necessarily in agreement ) out there, about religions or churches...so I wonder what we would want, if we could start our own group?

Some absolutely great ideas!
"Don H"...amazing, isn't it, that the love of Jesus encourages us to grow, and experience progress in becoming more Christ like?
I ask Him for correction of my faults, and to grow Spiritually, too...it's a lifelong process...

This is great. Maybe you should invent a game “Design Your Own Church” I like that.
Anyway it’s late, I’m bored, so here we go…
> Would there be a "leader"?
Yes.
> Would the individuals be Baptized? Sprinkling or immersion?
No.
> What beliefs concerning the Trinity would there be?
None.
> What beliefs about "Hell" would there be?
None.
> Who would be God's special group of people?
Women.
> Is Jesus the head of the church?
No, it’s Mary Magdalene.
> Any other doctrines that seem necessary to be a part of this group?
- You can generally believe and practice anything you want, but…
- You must be open-minded
- You must not hurt anyone
- You must educate yourself in history, science, religion & philosophy
- Junk food is strictly forbidden and a sin. If you are caught eating it you get anathematised
I may add a few more later...

A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.
Love and blessings
Your brother

Not the religion, I'd stay with my basic beliefs, but a re-working of the whole atmosphere. I would run it much more like a business and explore the idea of gearing it primarily for the youth of today. "Disco Pre-Church" if that's what it took. Start with the heart, not the outward appearances. Hard-core music for the kids to get their frustrations out, gather round later for the life questions. Ping-pong, pizza, video games, and levels of maturity in the Christian life. Berets, jackets, or shoulder ropes for the mentors that really know their stuff and can counsel others. "Cover charges" would take care of expenses that would be a mix of non-profit and business.

I am not a fan of organized religion because I believe it was made by man, not by God or Jesus.
I would not create doctrines but would take literally the words and actions of Christ only. If Christ said it or did it...then it is so. Nothing more, nothing less. In otherwords, I would use only the gospels of Jesus himself. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as my book of life and living.

It would be a church of the people...acceptance of all, tolerance of all, sharing, love and the united desire for peace. No rituals, no body more special than the next guy...just a place filled with love

Trees... many many trees... and birdsong, and insects, and running water, and stars above... the soft earth below... the wind in the leaves... the rumble of footfalls... the moans of the lover, the warmth of the sun.
