First off am I the only one that remembers Saddam using chemical weapons and nerve gas against thousands of children and his own people or am I just dreaming that up?
Second Congress which basically converts to the people of the US, authorized the use of force and occupation of not only Iraq but Afghanistan. For too long had this crazy leader attacked and killed thousands of Innocent people. He also violated more than 18 UN sanctions and treaties not only that but had attacked US aircraft and showed hostility and aggressiveness towards the US and potentially Kuwait and other nations (cruise missile attacks and rocket attacks on Kuwait in 2003 by Iraqi forces. I served 2 years in Iraq and I have never taken part in or witnessed any Innocent civilian being murdered. This is not biased it is the straight facts. Hope that answers your question..................Shadow Stalker

The US congress authorized the use of force against Iraq. This was the result of Iraq's violation of 17 United nations resolutions and acts of aggression against US planes in the no fly zone set up by the United nations. Yes, the concern over WMD's also played into it , but, all of the above plus the slaughtering of innocent people in Iraq by Saddam gave the US not much choice to stop this crazy leader.

If someone is calling for opinion/suggestion and under no circumstances something that has a set splendid answer, then I dont imagine its a threat to respond to without bias or judgement. all of us deliver our own bias in our critiques. I do attempt to respond to questions in an purpose way although, and say such issues as "then back..." or "...however it didnt help me, i know many human beings locate that sensible". I do continuously answer questions fairly and overtly although. The nameless nature of Y!A resources that freedom.

The UN Security Counsel reported to all nations that...
#1 Iraq had weapons of mass destruction
#2 Iraq had used weapons of mass destruction in pursuit of ethnic cleansing.
#3 Iraq was funding terrorist organizations and had financial ties to Al-Queda.
#4 Iraq was refusing to comply with UN guidelines and denied access by UN officials to inspect military facilities.
Now, taking what we have seen in the last century about appeasement and the threat of nations with the willingness to harm others...
Nazi Germany provided the exact same situation to the League of Nations, which did not take any action against Hitler. This cost the lives of over 6 million Jews and Millions more in other minority and ethnic groups, as well as the lives of innocent soldiers and civilians in Europe after the situation was allowed by weak politicians to become out of control.
The US felt obligated to react, BEFORE a repeat of the Nazi invasion of Europe could ever be a possibility.

How can we answer a bais question with an unbais answer, who says we're killing innocent people, there must be a reason for killing them if we are doing so, besides we're sending troops in to save them from killing themselves ever heard of a couple of atomic bombs in World War II yeah same idea instead of a bunch of contries at war you have a civil conflict
after all is said and done Bush athorized himself, with the power given to him by the voters, and backed by the congress if yu don't like it cast your next vote well
personally I believe we should let them kill each other untill they settle it themselves and not get into forign politics but the majority of voters don't agree with me and I can' vote so I don't matter

Actually the US congress authorized the commander in chief to invade Iraq and to remove Saddam Hussein. I don't know what you are trying to get at by saying "w/o bias or emotion." This is just a fact.

Your question is already filled with bias and emotion, but anyways he doesn't kill innocent people. In reality he has helped save the lives of millions of innocent people.
