You do not have to or need to but it is OK if you want to be thinner. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. 12 is not a good age to loose lots of weight, your body is in the process of mass change and possible growth in height.
you could grow several feet over the summer or next few years.
The only down side to this, could be some of your favorite clothes becoming too small. - But hey! shopping spree.
If your doctor says you weight is fine, don't worry. be happy.

no way....you sound like you're close to normal, but you'll gain a few pounds in the next 3-4 years, and that's normal too.
becoming a woman, the body will need a few more pounds to function better, so don't freak about it. just get some running, biking, swimming, whatever moves you, dancing...
put a little muscle on and you'll be fabulous!
get into some sport at school and watch out guys, a new lady is in town...

you should loose some weight, about 5 pounds. Anyway, how tall are you? But actually you are not supposed to loose weight when you are this young cuz it will make you grow slower. Control your calories intake a bit more. 5 pounds will not need to be lose if you grow 2inches more.

At your age, just focus on maintaining the weight and as time goes on, maybe gaining a few pounds. The most important thing is that you continue to eat healthy, drink a lot of water, and exercise. It will benefit you as you get older.
