yesterday i saw my next door neighbour talking to a bunch of teen lads who were being very rude to her and she was really calm with them.

she told me that for the last 3 years shes had a problem with these lads kicking the ball over in her garden and them constantly going roung asking her for the ball. if she isnt in they'll climb her fence to get it.

shes fed up with the ball going over as there are 3 playing fields down the road. the lads are aged between 16-19, so they can obviously go there and play instead of winding up the neighbours. there are about 10 of these lads.

last week a ball went over my garden and it bounced off my patio doors- which i thought by the sound that it broke the window. luckily the glass was ok but my 11month old daughter was behine the glass and was scared.

i never gave them the ball back as i though it was out of order and shouldne be playing on a busy coulde-sac.

what can my neighbour do about the ball going over thats legal.

thanks for answers so far but have to mention that these lads are teenagers between 15-19 years old. their parents wont listen to my neighbour about the ball going over the wall.

she doesnt know what to do and if she does pop the ball or not give it to them back can the police do anything about destroying the lads property if it was on her land?

Police won't mess with something like this. Best thing, go to the parents and see if it'll do any good!

Sounds like a plot line for a Dickens story. "Have ye no prisons, no work houses"?

Just live and let live.
