To what purpose did Jehovah create the Tyrannosaurus Rex? What benefit to man? And if everything god created was perfect, why did they become extinct without the aid of man?

Arrogance.

(Isaiah 55:8-9) For the thoughts of you people are not my thoughts, nor are my ways your ways,” is the utterance of Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

In truth, I cannot even pretend to know why Jehovah created the T-Rex. As for their becoming extinct despite the fact that everthing God created was perfect, most people have an imperfect understanding of the Bible word used for perfect. Some feel that a thing or person that is “perfect” should have amazing qualities, never wear out, never die, last forever.

The dictionary tells us that the English word “perfect” comes from the Latin prefix per, meaning “throughout,” “thoroughly,” or “completely,” plus the verb facere, meaning “to do or make.” So then, something or someone “perfect” is something or someone that is ‘completely made or finished, not lacking in essential parts, not defective.’ It is also something that ‘meets all requirements and measures up to the standards of excellence set.’

Evidently, then, the dinosaurs fulfilled their purpose and their existence was no longer needed.

Although in a 'scriptural' way I agree with *achtung_heiss* completely, his answers are cold and impersonal, and he seems to suffer from a superiority complex. This is just a character flaw and we all have those. I can only assume that he is a very young lad and hasn't lost his cockiness yet. Humility is a sign of Christianity, but I think it is a tough thing to fully acquire since even Christ's apostles struggled with this.....

As far as his knowledge of the bible and his faith, well that scripture in his answer does explain things well, doesn't it? Humans do not know all of the reasons why Jehovah does things. However he gives us much information and many answers that he has no need to offer us. He does this out of kindness and love. So we would be wise to feel gratitude for what he does for us, especially when we ourselves could never know anything at all without his kindness.

All animal life was created BEFORE man.
(Genesis 1:20-21) And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.” 21 And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind. And God got to see that [it was] good.
All the great dinosaurs were on the earth for very possibly millions or more years. To eat the vegetation and FERTILISE it.
Their sheer size would preclude a side by side existence with man. Man would not survive. So by the time Man was created [ Genesis 1;26] They had fulfilled their purpose and died out.
Man;s history on the earth in comparison to the animals is very short. 8,000 years. Calculated by the ages of the patriarchs in Genesis chapter 5, and the geneology of Jesus in Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3.

To eat the dead animals and keep clean of decomposed meat the world. The reason of the extinction? Obvious, the big reptiles disappeared, so, the "job" of the T-Rex was over. Did I answer you? But the criptozoology is studying the possibility of the existence of alive dinosaurs in Africa, at Congo, and there is an animal that the description is of the T-Rex. But, of course, it's only a theory, and to take the possibility as very remote. Greetings!

There are some things that we do not know as humans. I am not a Witness, however, I have studied with them in the past.
I have no personal idea as to their purpose, however, it must have had some purpose in the beginning.
I know this isn't probably the answer that you are looking for. However, it is all I got at the moment. I will try to do some research and find out more.

I am not a JW. God created the animals and the conditions of the world are different now than before.

If the answer you seek isn't biblical, you'll have to wait for judgement day and ask Jesus.
