As a former Christian, I never bought into the literal interpretation of Genesis and never engaged in Pascal's Wager. It seems that parroting empty statements is a popular evangelical tool these days.

Pascals' Wager: It's a false argument. To err on the side of fear or caution is still to err.

It's just a Theory: Developed around common misuse of the term. The group who coined the term are aware of the difference in usage, and they are aware that you are not. You are being played, and I can't imagine that these people don't have a certain amount of contempt for you.

Noah's Ark has been found: No it hasn't, but the guy who produced that phony documentary made plenty of money from plenty of suckers.

Carbon Dating is false: If it were, how would you know? And no it is not false, but it cannot be used on some non-organic Archaeological finds or living organisms. It measures decay, and living organisms have not begun to decay.

And Last Thursdayism: The universe only APPEARS old. LOL.

Nice summary!

I'm also fond of the topical "days were reckoned differently back then" line - so if we're not meant to take the "Jesus arose from his tomb on the third day" reading literally, how come we're supposed to take the "work for six, rest for one" part as 24-hour days? Especially when we're also meant to "imagine" that God-days a la the Creation Myth could have been millions of years long. Each!

How about once saved always saved?

Did you know that once your Born-Again (spiritman recreated), you can't mess up your spirit and become lost again unless you commit the Unpardonable Sin?
Regular ole sin's (like stealing, drinking and drugs, murder, being gay etc.) are not the unpardonable sin.
They can lead you into commiting the unpardonable sin if you get saved and keep on sinning these lower sins.
Takes time to commit it.
Takes time to lose your Salvation once you ask Jesus to save you.
Ditto................
