And do some proper unbiased research before jumping to conclusion?

.....I was talking metaphorically. Don't tell me you really didn't had the brain to understand that. o_O

I'd be interested to know what conclusion-jumping triggered this question, as it is clearly posted in frustration over something.

Many people do not know how to analyze, to examine, to research at all, let alone in an unbiased fashion. Some of this is bad schooling, some is being modeled by parents who never think much past what they see on TV. Mass media is largely to blame, in my opinion: all issues are reduced to sound bites, and about all you can say in a few words is what "the experts" (which experts?) say about it in some summary that is so condensed as to be meaningless. It's like saying that quantum mechanics means that all possibilities exist simultaneously. Not exactly false, but terribly misleading.

But unbiased research is even more difficult than research more generally. I remember when I decided EMOTIONALLY that I wanted to move to Arizona. My husband insisted I do some research to show him it was economically feasible. I collected those facts which supported my wish to move there, and neatly avoided asking those questions which might yield contrary results. You can predict the outcome: we went there, it was an economic disaster, and we spent even more money getting back to California.

Don't be too hard on those who cannot learn. Save your energy to prod those who can, but don't bother.

After a certain age, brains just don't grow.

I had a client who had a brain the size of a walnut. The rest of his head was mostly water. But his brain never grew any larger.

We all have brains (proof: we can actually reach a conclusion), its just that sometimes we're not careful how to use them. Or, to some, its not worth the effort...?

well lets see. To grow something it takes a small amt. of intelligence. If you have no brain, you have no intelligence. So how can you grow a brain, if you have no brain?
But my real question to you is....

Some people think they know what they're talking about because they heard such n such from so n so.

They just didn't know that so n so was an uneducated idiot.
