Without taking away from the mastery and artistry of the performance, the basic effect is simple- it is basically puppetry, with the person using a 'shell' of a body as the puppet.
There may or may not be a trapdoor and elevator involved as well. Hard to tell from this angle.

That was Masquerade(japanese Tv show, popular in asia)!! I'd seen it before...
No, i think i saw the wire for hanging the cloth... Then i saw a zip on the cloth too.. The head isn't really just drop down like that. While the head dropped down, the zip also went down. If u carefully see that while the head dropped onto the floor, the cloth still had its shape..
