Sad isn't it. The thought police see the need to keep everything in line with their version of what is politically correct.

They tell you that you can protest these deletions but a gave up after about ten trys.

I don't think that anyone is at home at yahoo answers. Just a lonesome computer whirring away in some empty office.

love and blessings Don

I gave an answer to which there was already four answers posted. My answer went like this - I think seven day adventists are for rich snobby people like Doctors and Dentists and the like. When I pressed submit - the sheet came up that said the person had removed the question. I must of hit a nerve or something. Wouldn't that mean the other four posts were removed also? Is that fair to them? Or did they just block my answer, then resolve the question pronto? I've learned through writting letters to newspapers how invisible censorship works. They leave out what doesn't agree with thier opinion. Much like how people translate the bible, they leave out, or obscure things that does not go along with the seat of thier thinking. Just let it roll off your back like a duck does water, or grow a thick skin.

Sarcasm depends a lot on tone of voice and facial expression. The words, taken by themselves, may seem just plain false, or terribly rude, when they were meant to be sarcastic. However, I believe Miss Manners would argue that sarcasm is itself rude, and not really humor. Also, many people use the excuse that "it was meant sarcastically" when they get called out for being rude.

If you mean it, say it. If someone complains, you were "only" sarcastic.

Statistics show that 99,6% of the Y!A population doesn't understand sarcasm.

I had questions deleted with over 15 stars. It's truly silly. You can protest in the forum, a link is at the right top of the page. Sometimes it even works, and you get the 10 points back, but they never put the whole question back. So, I gave up protesting.

It could be worse, I offended someone and got my primary e-mail suspended and I have seen many who's e-mails are also gone.
There is a website you can go to for searching that has a great many who have ***lost*** their e-mails, some are just griping over cancelled points!

I for one have been wondering how "imacatholic2" can get thousands of "Best answers" when I never see the symbol near an answer?

One of the first violations I received, in an earlier incarnation, was for a sarcastic answer.
People without a sense of humour shouldn't be allowed internet connections.

Some people take this ANSWERS seriously and use it right. Helping others with their problems, asking their questions and getting helpful, honest, polite answers. Others like to be as*es and throw in their two cents. SOME DONT LIKE THAT. Didnt your mommy teach you that if you have nothing nice to say keep your computer keys quiet!! (just my opinion on your question, although a somewhat helpful answer)

Yahoo Answers has guidelines and standards. Sarcastic questions and answers are really not questions and answers at all..just a waste of time and used to bait people.
