Why is it always atheist v. Christians instead of atheist v. theist?

I am, atheist against theist should be a more proper match up. But why is that it is always Christians who attack atheist?

Depends on the Atheist. Some are against all theists. Some are just tired of mainstream Christianity, because that is the religious majority here and in the real world. And it's not always Christians attacking Atheists... it's people attacking people... because damn near everyone does it. =)

~~~Deadman ,,,, Seriously, because most theists in Western Culture are christian and since they hold the same Subjective Claim of a Superior God they feel that the only Theist should be a Christian Theist. Personally I find the attacks to be a Two Way Street.

I don't understand what Christians hope to gain by attacking anyone, especially as it's they who then complain that they're the ones being attacked.
As for atheists, I have no quarrel with them.
I mean, once you get past the fact that they're amoral baby eaters, they can be quite good conversationalists.

There are some Muslims here who attack atheists as well. I've even gotten that kind of hate mail from someone who claimed to be pagan, which really surprised me.

But yes, it's mostly Christians who think that this is a site for attacking atheists.

I'm a theist, and well I think that statement is unrealiable and untrue, because I think that there are some theists who push their beliefs to strongly on others but its the individual atheists and theists that attack each other, for example, you said that your an atheist againgst theists, and that shows that in a way you are attacking theists!
