If I'm not baptized yet and I move to another state with out telling my bishop where I'm going and try to get baptized by the church in that other state where no one knows my sins, will it work or do they record your sins in a computer and pull them up anywhere in the country so they don't accidentally baptize someone from another state that they weren't suppose to because of previously confessed sin?

Look for someone with broader knowledge, rather boradest.

That would be dishonest. You have to re-confess, because the church doesn't record your sins, fortunately, Because I wouldn't confess if it wasn't a confidential thing. Repent, and then you don't have to go to a bishop, before you move on make sure you get repentance approval with your previous bishop. If you get baptized unworthily you could be ex-communicated depending on the seriousness of the sin. You have to get a bishop's interview before your baptized anyway, and wherever you get baptized approval interviews have to be taken for that particular place. Notes of approval, I think, can be signed and sent to your new bishop, but they will ALWAYS make sure you have an interview! When you are baptized you become accountable, as well as all passed sins are washed away, but it doesn't wash away the ones that contaminate the future. Trying to cover your sin is like lying, and lying to your new bishop is hardly repenting. Repenting means saying sorry and NEVER DOING THAT SIN AGAIN! Well, I hope this helps! Good Luck!

Do you really want to lie to God? Cause it's not the Bishop or mission president or anyone else you are confessing to, it's God. Those men might not know you are lying, but God does.

Is this because you were dating a missionary and got him transferred or because you were baptized into "a cult" at 15?

Either way it sounds like you need to fix some problems in your life before you enter into a covenant...like telling Mormon/mason jokes and other Mormon bashing...maybe Mormonism is not for you.

dude they won't judge you for your sins. if you "repented" then they will forgive and forget. moving to another state just because of this fear you have is ridiculous! they don't put your sins on a computer either. what is up w/ all the mormon questions tonight? woah man there's alot!
