I have not confessed my sins and I want to get blessed ... what is the proper procedure when I go to the priest ... do I cross my arms and ask for a blessing?

You don't need to say anything. Just stand in line with everyone else and when it is your turn cross your arms. If he tries to give you communion (very unlikely) just shake your head and he will get the picture.

If you decide want to stay in the pew, that is fine. The priest blesses everyone at the end of Mass anyway.

You needn't go to Confession before receiveing a personal blessing from a priest. However, it wouldn't.

Kneel down fold your hands & ask God to forgive you of your sins, List them all ask for His help in avoiding those sins in the future. Ask for His blessings to full that your cup runs over with His blessings. Thank him for Christ dying on the cross, because Christ got rid of the middle man. We no-longer have to go through a preist, pharisee etc, to gain forgivness, that is one of the reasons Christ died for us. There is no penance through Christ, just forgiveness Christ and all he went through from his trial to the crucifixtion, means we don't have to do this, but if this doesn't suit you go back to the fallible man who sins as much as you, and see about having to do penance & pain for something that Christ has already gone through & died for.
Best of luck in your decision Sister

You could but that won't bless you anymore than sitting on your duff and spinning. God is the only one worthy of blessing you. Why search out a sinful man to do that
