The true church will be raptured just prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation. As far as identifying small break-away groups, this is difficult because of the growth of false prophets in this time. You will just have to pray about it and search quietly. I say quietly, because making too many open inquires can draw the attention of a cult. If any group preaches any other message than Christ crucified, then it is a cult and you need to run from it as fast as you can. All legitimate Bible study groups will preach the cross and the blood of Jesus in every part of the Bible. Any group that focuses on its leader is a cult. Any group leader that preaches the gospel of prosperity or the gospel of poverty is a cult leader. Any group leader that spends too much time on money and giving is a cult leader. Be care about a leader who asks you to break the law or do anything immoral. Any sexual advances are immoral. Everything must be above board and out in the open. This advice is better than any scripture that I can give you.

The Church has an endtime prophecy which I think is the most accurate based on my own biblical research. Here it is.
Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.574 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth575 will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.576

Read, and study Matthew twenty four. Read and study Isaiah, and the book of Daniel. Revelation as well.
There you will find that there is no formation going to come out of all the denominations. The true church of our Christ will be taken away before the end of times as we know it. It will be the Christ our Lord who does this. Not an earthly community with some leadership of men, and women. The true church will rise in spirit at once right after the dead of Christ's church have risen. This will be accomplished by the Christ; not a gathering of small groups as suggested in your question.
That darlin will happen I believe after the Christ calls His church with His shout for the faithful. Before the tribulations to come. Here is His second coming. After the tribulations the Christ will return a third time to save Israel as promised. The beast and the false prophet will have finished their dirty reign on earth, and Israel will need God's protection then. It is then the world will see Him for the second time. It will be His third coming to earth, but the second coming will be for His church and no one but those of His church will see Him then. Not until His third appearance.
God bless you sweetheart, and study the prophecies a little deeper.

Lady: I'm not saying that this is or isn't an inspired act of God but a good rule of thumb is this. Stay where God has called you to be. Often times, there are those, who take it upon themselves, to leave the church he or she was called to and take some of the members with them. What usually happens is these same people end up leaving that particular group and quit believing in God all together. My advice to you is to let God deal with the perceived problems within His church and He will take care of it in His own time and way. A lot of groups (sects) form after leaving the main body (church). You need to have the faith in Jesus Christ to take care of the problems in His church - don't allow other people's problems become yours !

While it is true that there will be a falling away from the teachings of Jesus Christ and apostasy will be rampant, it also says that in those end times there will be a great pouring out of the Spirit of God.
As a Christian Preacher, writer and Evangelist my Ministry is dedicated to the premise of calling God's people back.
Back to serving HIM and not the mega church or Pastor.
Back to learning about the Word of God, not tradition and dogma.
Calling HIS people back to the BIBLE.

In Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 3 talks about the falling away that comes first, you may want to start there.

Please come to my website and lets have some study and enlightenment. For it is Written when two or three are gathered in my Name I am in the mist.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Safeguards against Apostasy:Preach the Word.
2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

I can tell you where you can find the answers. www.biblegateway.com and www.blueletterbible.org
There are all kinds of "helps" in those web sites to look up scriptures. Sometimes you only need to put in a "keyword" and bingo it will bring up some scriptures and most the time the one your looking for. ~Shalom~
