That's for losing weigh, not for health.
For your health, you should have water with your meal.
(doesn't have to be a whole glass, whatever's comfortable).
For losing weight, one should eat 4 to 6 small meals a day.
I'm 125 lbs. and I have about 3 to 4 bottles of water thoughout the day.
I drink no more than 1/2 of 1 at a time, because the body only absorbs about 6oz in 15 minutes.

If you drink it half an hour before the meal, you will eat less as it will fill you up. If you drink it with the meal, it won't have that effect.
It's the same as eating fast, if you eat fast, you finish the meal before your brain has a chance to tell you that you're full and can lead to overeating.
If you eat slower, the message has a chance to get there, and you can leave what you don't want, not eating unnecessary food.
It's all kind of related.

Medical advice says that a glass of red wine with a meal has health benefits, now, it might just be me, but I prefer a nice glass of full bodied red wine to a glass of tap water or worse still a bottle of so called spring water. Life is too short, enjoy what you can...everything else seems to be bad for you....

Personally I have to drink with a meal, otherwise the food gets stuck in my throat and makes me cough. Drinking with a meal can cause burping as you're taking in several mouthfuls of air... but really, I havent' seen any research that either way is better for you. People do both and seem to live for a lon time either way ;)

You'll likely feel full faster and limit your portion size if you drink more liquids before your meal than during. This could have a positive health effect. I recommend keeping your fluid intake up on low calorie drinks throughout the day.

If you drink a glass of water before a meal, it is supposed to make you feel full quicker so you eat less. No idea if it works though.

I love friends who express admaant opinions when they don't have a clue! The reason it is better to drink before is that you drink with the meal you dilute your digestive juices which will impair your digestion.

it is all about you. You can drink water before or after meal. In my opinion, I never believe that.

If you like drinking water with your meals, then enjoy it and do not worry about it.
