I read through YAHOO ANSWERS at least once a day. I check out the fishing section to try and help my felow fishermen. as i read through here I notice a lot of anti fishing and hunting people. they claim that fishing and hunting is inhuamane, and should be banned and all of us wh love to hunt and fish are cruel mean people.

in my opinion, these people are such hipocrites that they don't even have a clue to what they are saying. These same people harm the enviroment every day. they buy clloths , wich are made in factories, wish polute the enviroment, they obviously use computers because they post on here and comupters are harmful because of all the rare metals used to build them, not to mention the polution from the electricity needed to run them, they also eat, and i have not found a single thing to eat that doesn't come from the earth in some way or another.

Please help stop these lunitics from ruining our earth and our existance.

I like to ask these people which has more chance of survival, a cow or a deer during hunting season.

Bunny-huggers and environmentalist are two different species. Teddy Rooseveldt was an environmentalist. He realized that if he didn't do something soon, there would be nowhere for later generations to hunt and fish and otherwise enjoy this beautiful place we call North America.

I don't give thanks for food from meat factories. I give thanks for the fish I was able to trick, and I thank the fish as well. If I hunted (not as good a shot as I want to be to take up hunting... yet.), it would be the same. The big key is RESPONSIBLE fishing and hunting practices. I know a lot of people who flagrantly violate fish and game laws, and I try to explain why we have size limits and bag limits and closed seasons, but they think I'm full of b.s., and they keep going on the way they do. "Yeah, I caught a 30 inch redfish yesterday." "Yeah?" "Yeah, it's in my freezer." GAAAHH!!!! And I realize at this point it's my responsibility to report people for it... if they won't stop on their own to have the proper authorities step in to do their jobs.... but I'd just rather use reason than be called a snitch.

I agree. The biggest environmentalists have never even stepped foot in the wild. They make judgements and try to enact laws that make no sense for sportsmen, and women. Hunting and fishing generate millions of dollars through licenses and whatnot, that is put back into setting up programs to help the outdoors......oh, and hunting and fishing is alot more humane than, say slaughterhouses. People should stop telling others how to live and worry about how to better themselves.

i think environmentalists could look on the question the different way. They see polluters as implementing their way of life on anybody else, because of the fact that anybody has to share the comparable atmosphere. Environmentalists in simple terms choose others to stay their lives in a fashion that doesn't negatively effect them.

Vegans, anti-hunting or anti-fishing people are not by definition "environmetalists" They may refer to themselves as that.

I consider myself environmentalist, I think we should take care of the land to the best of our abilities but I'm not going to be so naive as to say that means we need to leave it entirely alone or revert to ancient styles of life because it's just impossible. I have a lot of beliefs in connection to Native American ideals and their view of the land, but I'm not going to get rid of my electricty or running water forever.
I hunt, fish, camp, these are not "un-environmental" they are far more environmental than most other activities. Especially using energy and resources like some do to try to stop hunting which is actually helpful to the environment.

These people are just misguided and ignorant and aligning themselves to a cause, even a wrong one, makes them feel important.

I think the only way we will ever save our planet from the effects of "Global Warming" is to rid it of environmentalists once and for all. Just for good measure lets add democrats, North Korea and Iran to that list.
What a wonderful world it would be.

they are not true environmentalists. They are brain dead imitators. I am an environmentalist, and while I don't' hunt (never really attracted me) I do fly fish, and eat what I catch. As long as you don't cheat (fish detectors, huge drag nets) It's perfectly fine by me. Fish. Eat. They work together remarkably well.

as with most things, the extremists ruin things for everyone. those fanatic eco-terrorists who think it's OK to burn down a residential home development to save some endagngered swamp rat obivously are irrational and probably hypocrites to boot, as you point out. there's nothing wrong with wanting to preserve our natural environment, but again, when you go to those extremes, you're just doing your cause a disservice.

i agree with you 100%. The environmentalists probably do worse to this plant than the people they are trying to stop. They really p*ss me off.
