Well i was tempted to say no but i kinda think i get where you are coming from. Cause when people are in love they seem to lie alot to protect the other feeling or themselves from losing the person they love.

No, love means honesty and respect. Lusting something is going for selfish reasons, and therefore maybe lying to achieve it.
Also, if you truly love a person, there is no need to lie. Because you love them, you will be honest and upfront. Your love will guide and protect one another in the relationship.

Love means accepting the truth.
In fact, telling the truth to the person you love can also be a test, whether that person really loves 'you' too. If they love you too they will focus on solution rather than the problem itself.
