Allah is the God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Them All). All of the Prophets came to preach for the belief in One God; Allah.
However, the Jews corrupted their faith by giving false attributes of Allah and they've altered their Torah myriads of times. The Christians claimed that Prophet Jesus was Allah's son. They added Jesus and the archangel Gabriel (the Holy Spirit) with Allah to form the trinity.
Islam came to correct the abovementioned corrupted faith. Nevertheless, many Muslims have a corrupted belief in Allah. The Shiites and Ibadites negate the attributes of Allah. The Wahhabis (or pseudo-Salafis) are anthropomorphists. Only the Ash'ari's and Maturidis worship Allah correctly.
Therefore, out of 6.5 billion people on this planet, only 800 million people nominally worship Allah correctly. I even don't know what percentage of those 800 million know Allah's attributes correctly...but I've been told that their percentage is small.

Actually Muhammed the founder of Islam grew up in a culture of thousands of gods. When he was young he met a Christian and liked the concept of one God. So when he started his religion, he chose to worship, Allah, the moon god, who was the local god where he was from. Allah is not God however. Not even the same. Read the Quarran and then read the Bible. They are very different. Nowhere does the Bible teach us to kill the infidel. The Quarran also speaks very disparagingly about black people and women.
Dont believe me? Its true.

I thought they were the same God until I read Joebob's answer.
I didn't know Allah was the name of a Moon god in pagan belief. Interesting. Well, they claim that they believe in the same Bible stories but they've twisted alot of them. I see some simulariites between Islam and Mormonism. The polygamy in Heaven, the twisted Bible stories, crediting good works to someone whose already passed away, have to viset the temple at least once to be saved, have to viset the city of Mecca at least once to be saved, have to give to charity, ect... All very simular.

They are so obviously different that it amazes me Muhammad has Allah saying he is the God of Abraham.
Moses foretold of Abraham and told of God's nature order and plan and Allah is not in agreement with any of it. Allah claims Christ but nothing Christ taught not evven the fact that God named Jesus Yeshua Salvation because he would save his people from sin. How hard is it to see that they are different gods? I guess for some it is easier to bury their heads in the sand and follow a made up god.

In the book of Genesis God says to Moses, when Moses asked what should he go back and tell the people (in bondage in Egypt) "I AM THAT I AM (SOME VERSIONS) I AM WHO I AM.
He further proclaims we shall have no other gods -anything or anyone we worship, be it our careers, family, self, etc. we make a god of. God is the one and true living God.
